About ASEAN Business Advisory Council (Singapore)
Aligned with the Chairmanship of ASEAN, Singapore held the Chairmanship of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) in 2018. The ASEAN BAC was inaugurated in April 2003 following the decision of the ASEAN leaders at the 7th ASEAN Summit in Bandar Seri Bengawan, Brunei Darussalam on 5 - 6 November 2001. The ASEAN BAC is mandated by the ASEAN leaders as the official ASEAN linkage to provide private sector feedback and guidance to boost ASEAN's effort towards economic integration, to identify priority areas for consideration by the ASEAN leaders, and to provide policy recommendations to the ASEAN leaders.
The Singapore Business Federation is appointed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore to perform the role of the national secretariat for ASEAN BAC (Singapore), in providing support for the works of ASEAN BAC (Singapore) Council Members.

ASEAN Business Awards (ABA)
The ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) was first launched by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) in 2007 to mark ASEAN's 40th anniversary. The ABA has been running for over 10 years now, recognizing more than 250 outstanding ASEAN businesses that have shown significant progress in establishing and reinforcing their positions in various sectors and contributing to ASEAN’s economic growth and prosperity.
With 13 years of implementation, the ABA event has been creating opportunities for businesses to reaffirm their position among industry peers, advance their competitiveness and integration, and enhance their brands throughout ASEAN region on a global level. About ASEAN Business Awards 2024
As a prestigious international-level event, the ASEAN Business Awards 2024 will seek and recognize ASEAN business enterprises and individuals that drive growth through enhancing the connectivity and resilience, as well as those that prioritize sustainability in their endeavors. ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2024
The ABIS 2024 is scheduled on 9 to 10 October 2024, back-to-back to the ASEAN Summit in Vientiane Capital Lao PDR. The conference will bring together more than 1,000 world leaders, CEOs, and senior executives representing multinational and regional corporations. This event organised by ASEAN BAC will amplify the private sector voice in driving policy reforms and position ASEAN at the center of global economics integrations.
The ABIS 2024 theme is “Enhancing Economic Connectivity and Resilience” that will reflect the view of the private sectors to the Priority Economic Deliverables of ASEAN, the presentation of new ideas, technologies and development concepts and strategies for economic integration in ASEAN, in ASEAN plus 5 (RCEP) Region, in the Asia-Pacific Region, in the Eurasia Region and others.
Several ASEAN and world leaders will be invited leaders to share their insights on the importance of ASEAN towards the global economy. The conference will also provide opportunities for business networking and business/sponsors show cases. It will also provide opportunities to present showcases of outstanding companies in the region and in the world to the audience.
