Workforce Singapore (WSG) has launched the Overseas Markets Immersion Programme (OMIP) to support companies to expand into overseas markets. This is also part of the Government’s commitment to build a globally competitive workforce by enabling more Singaporeans to gain overseas experience. The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) has been appointed as the first OMIP programme partner and will work with companies to explore internationalisation opportunities.

In a promising sign of resilience and growth, the Singapore Business Federation’s (SBF) National Business Survey (NBS) 2024 – Scaled Internationally Edition reveals that the proportion of Singapore businesses with overseas expansion plans increased from the past year (59% versus 57% in 2023), with Vietnam (25%), Indonesia (25%) and Thailand (21%) as the top three markets.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) has unveiled a rebranding of its identity, signalling the next bound for Singapore's apex business chamber 22 years after its establishment in 2002. Concurrently, SBF announced the formation of its inaugural Honorary Advisory Panel, which will play a pivotal role in guiding and shaping the organisation's strategic direction and initiatives. The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) organised the 7th Singapore-China Trade and Investment Forum (SCTIF) earlier today, on the sidelines of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), in Shanghai, China. Held under the theme of “Singapore-China: A Shared Journey Towards High-Quality Partnership” (新中协力,高质同行), the annual Forum serves as a key platform promoting constructive discussions and deepening collaboration and bilateral trade between Singapore and China. The Alliance for Action (AfA) on Business Competitiveness – jointly established by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Singapore Business Federation (SBF)in February 2024 to address key challenges in manpower, land and regulations – has released its report today after a nine-month review.
