Close to 600 business leaders, policymakers, and trade experts convened today at the Orchard Hotel Singapore for a seminar on 'Navigating US Tariff: Adapt and Advance', where the Singapore Business Federation (SBF)’s Centre for the Future of Trade and Investment (CFOTI) announced partnerships with six organisations – DBS Bank Ltd, DHL Express (Singapore), Pacific International Lines, PwC Singapore, Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, and Temasek Foundation – to deepen regional trade and investment connectivity, build enterprise capabilities, and co-develop practical solutions for businesses navigating today’s turbulent global trade environment.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) convened the inaugural SBF Ghana–Singapore Business Dialogue on the occasion of the State Visit of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, to Singapore from 26–28 August 2025. The Singapore Business Federation’s (SBF) National Business Survey 2025 – Manpower and Wages Edition revealed Singapore businesses’ bearish outlook on the current state of economy. Businesses are lowering revenue and profitability expectations, holding off expansion and hiring due to the uncertain macroeconomic outlook. More companies expect conditions to worsen (35%) than improve (14%) over the next 12 months. The overall Business Sentiment Index (BSI), which measures business confidence, softened by 1.1 points from 56.5 in Q1 2025 to 55.4 in Q2 2025.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) today unveiled the findings of its inaugural Social Sustainability and Corporate Volunteering studies that show an overwhelming majority of Singapore businesses see social sustainability as essential to long-term success, with nine in 10 large companies and eight in ten SMEs recognising its role in shaping business value. Unveiled at a launch event attended by over 120 business leaders, sustainability professionals, and policymakers, the findings signal growing momentum behind corporate volunteering and call for stronger ecosystem support to help companies scale their social impact.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) successfully convened the 9th edition of the Singapore Regional Business Forum (SRBF), held in Bangkok, Thailand, for the first time. Organised in celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Thailand, the Forum welcomed 450 participants from 25 economies. It also brought together senior policymakers, business leaders, investors, and industry associations to discuss Asia’s growth and integration under the theme “Business Resilience in Asia: Thriving Amid Global Uncertainty and Trade Shifts”. As global uncertainties continue to shape the economic landscape, the importance of regional collaboration has never been more critical. By fostering deeper cross-sector collaboration, the Forum aims to navigate the structural shifts in the global economy and build long-term business resilience.
