Role of SBF

SBF partners with organisations across both private and public sectors to help businesses address cybersecurity concerns that include prevention, detection, response, and recovery to ensure businesses can stay secure, remain competitive in a constantly evolving threat environment. SBF further support businesses to raise their cybersecurity posture towards aligning and attaining CSA’s cyber essentials and cyber trust marks that can enhance customer confidence and trust in the business's ability to protect sensitive information.

Enhancing Vigilance

Enhancing vigilance is essential to defending against cyber threats, and phishing exercises play a crucial role in this effort. Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between SBF and the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), SBF held a phishing exercise in 2025 where phishing emails were sent to almost 200 businesses and over 4,500 employees across five business sectors – retail, industrial, consulting, environmental, and healthcare. Key findings from this tabletop digital exercise emphasised the need for businesses to guide their employees on identifying suspicious emails, assessing security systems, reviewing vulnerabilities, and improving incident response strategies. SBF will continue to help businesses increase their readiness for digital disruptions and will introduce a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity initiatives to further safeguard their digital assets.

Strengthening Cyber Resilience

In today’s digital landscape, cybersecurity is a critical business priority. To empower leaders to take charge of their cyber defence, SBF has partnered with RSM Stone Forest IT and curated a series of Chief Information Security Officer-as-a-Service (CISO) workshops that are complemented with 1-1 digital clinics. Through proven best practices, learnings from recent data breaches, and interactive breakout activities, businesses can uncover the cyber essentials to take actionable steps to be audit-ready and meet key requirements for cyber insurance protection. Whether overseeing strategy, risk, or business continuity planning, business owners and leaders will gain the clarity and confidence needed to guide their organisations toward a sustainable cyber health plan.
