Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Net Zero Transition Programme Office

The Net Zero Transition Programme Office (NZTPO) was set up in June 2024 as a new department of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) to spearhead national decarbonisation initiatives to benefit Singapore businesses. Since then, NZTPO has successfully launched national projects which have been featured in the media. These include: Cost and Carbon Reduction Programme, Queen Bee Enabled Sustainability Transition Programme, Singapore Emission Factors Registry (SEFR), NetZeroHub Resource Portal, as well as the recently launched national-level Council for a Competitive Climate Transition (C3T), to help companies stay competitive as climate risks intensify and the economy shifts toward lower-carbon growth.

We are seeking driven individuals to join our growing, high-performing team and deepen our impact in Singapore’s sustainability landscape. In this role, you will support the continued development of NetZeroHub.SG — which includes the SEFR and Resource Portal — working closely with technical partners, vendors, corporate and governmental stakeholders. While you will not be required to develop software or conduct scientific research, you will be responsible for overall content management, user experience, marketing, and the strategic enhancement of the platform. This is a nationally significant project closely followed by Singapore’s sustainability community, with direct contributions to real-world outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Grow NetZeroHub.SG (75% of responsibilities), which currently comprises two key components: the Singapore Emission Factors Registry and the Resource Portal.
  • Perform administrative and operational responsibilities for NZTPO (25% of responsibilities), including tracking KPIs, maintaining documentation and records, and preparing reports and presentation materials for internal and external discussions, with regular use of SBF’s Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Implement regular improvements and updates to website (such as content updates) in collaboration with external partners.
  • Analyze and steward platform usage data to generate actionable insights that drive product enhancements. Provide data-driven updates to management and stakeholders on platform performance, outreach effectiveness, and user engagement outcomes.
  • Build and sustain various strategic partnerships with public- and private-sector institutions, actively engaging them to co-develop initiatives and drive collective action toward national sustainability goals. Through these collaborations, you will strengthen the reach and impact of SBF’s initiatives across Singapore’s business community.
  • Execute creative outreach and marketing campaigns across SBF’s sustainability programmes/events, leveraging digital platforms, media opportunities, and industry events to strengthen brand visibility, drive stakeholder engagement, and increase participation in SBF’s programmes and online platforms.
  • Opportunities to take on other adhoc projects where available.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably Business, Communications, Economics, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences/Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in project management, product development, entrepreneurship, partnerships, and/or a related field.
  • Passionate about sustainability (especially climate action). Knowledge and experience in the sustainability sector (especially in greenhouse gas accounting or decarbonisation projects) and a good appreciation of the ecosystem stakeholders (e.g. understanding the roles of regulators, in-house practitioners, consultants and solution providers) would be ideal. An adaptable and willing learner to gain proficiency in climate change issues/practices quickly.
  • Comfortable performing administrative and operational responsibilities.
  • Comfort with data management. Candidates are not expected to perform deep data analysis, but must be able to process, use and present data effectively to inform decision-making.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, alongside ability to work independently and as part of a team.
