Assistant Manager, Operations

As an Assistant Manager in the International Business Division within Singapore Business Federation (SBF), you will be part of the team to help Singapore companies Learn, Land and Localise overseas.

You will support SBF International Business Division in two key functions: (1) Provide operational support for events, meetings, overseas trips, etc., and (2) Oversee finance and admin matters for the division as well as other projects assigned to you.

Job Responsibilities

1. Operational support for business events, meetings, overseas trips

  • Work closely with market teams to understand their projects
  • Prepare all necessary pre-project commencement preparations, bookings, logistical arrangements, liaison with local and foreign service providers, etc.
  • Prepare full financial procedure related to the procured services necessary to ensure the smooth execution of project (such as cost comparison, purchase orders, payments, invoicing, claims)
  • Prepare pre-project admin, briefing, material for participants and actual day event management

2. Oversee finance and admin matters for division

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting and documentation for audit and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
  • Ensure timely processing of payments and reimbursements in collaboration with Finance
  • Handle procurement processes and vendor management
  • Support general administration and facilities management
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial and administrative records
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal workflows related to finance and administration

 

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Communications, Marketing or equivalent with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills including ability and experience in engaging with stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and is able to work within a team
  • Detail oriented and highly organised
