Director, Smart Enterprise

The role involves leading strategy formulation, collaborating with government agencies and industry partners, and developing thought leadership on smart technology adoption.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy formulation for SBF’s smart technology action agenda, taking into account both existing matured technologies required to uplift enterprise productivity as well as emerging technologies such as AI (e.g., generative AI), cybersecurity, and data analytics required to enhance enterprise competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with government agencies (e.g., IMDA, CSA, Enterprise Singapore, etc), Trade Associations & Chambers (TACs), and industry partners (tech firms (incl also tech platforms (CSPs), SI, startups), consulting firms, IHLs) to co-develop policies, frameworks, and digital transformation programmes.
  • Develop SBF’s thought leadership on smart technologies adoption (incl eg effective intervention levers, challenges by enterprises etc), through sensing (e.g. via direct engagement, focus groups, surveys etc), sense making, and developing thought pieces and policy recommendations.
  • Lead programme development with relevant stakeholders and partners to deliver strategies for smart technology action agenda. This can include piloting new innovative collaborations, building new programmatic offerings, and driving implementation of programmes. This also include programme management work (e.g. deliverables tracking, impact assessment, grant administration (where applicable)).
  • Develop and organise go-to-market execution events, forums, conferences to deliver the strategies for smart technology action agenda.
  • Oversee and enhance existing platforms (e.g. STAC) for stakeholder engagement to advance the smart technology action agenda. Conceptualise and establish new platforms as necessary.
  • Manage the smart enterprise team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Digital Transformation, Technology Management, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years in leadership roles, across digital transformation, innovation strategy, or transformation programmes. Experience with AI, cybersecurity, or digital capability-building is preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical planning, solid execution and programme delivery track record.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement—can influence government, TACs, corporates, and SMEs.
  • Robust knowledge in digital trends: AI, cybersecurity, cloud, enterprise tech.
  • Excellent communicator and thought leader—able to author position papers, facilitate stakeholder engagements and engage in high-level dialogues.
  • People management skills: able to inspire, engage, and align team members with varied perspectives and capabilities to work collaboratively towards team and organisation goals.
  • Results-driven and impact-oriented.
  • Collaborative, comfortable navigating public-private partnership environments.
  • Adaptive to new digital trends and experienced in multi-stakeholder ecosystems.
