Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team; foster a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll oversight, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory reporting in accordance with relevant laws and requirements.
  • Prepare consolidated management accounts, variance analysis, and clear commentary for leadership and the Board.
  • Lead annual zero-based budgeting and rolling forecasts; partner with division heads for scenario planning and resource allocation.
  • Manage and ensure full compliance with stringent internal and external audit requirements; maintain audit readiness year-round.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance (corporate tax, GST), CPF, and other statutory obligations.
  • Manage government funding and grants — ensure correct accounting, reporting, and compliance with funding terms and conditions.
  • Oversee treasury and working capital management, including cashflow forecasting and bank relationship management.
  • Drive finance systems improvements and process automation to enhance reporting, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Lead ad-hoc finance projects and improvement initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification preferred (CA, CPA, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent).
  • 12+ years’ progressive finance experience, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (Finance Manager / Head of Finance / Finance Director) in an SME or mid-sized organisation.
  • Deep knowledge of Singapore statutory & tax requirements (SFRS, Companies Act, IRAS, GST, CPF rules).
  • Proven track record in delivering zero-based budgeting, accurate management reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in managing internal and external audits to stringent standards.
  • Strong track record in managing government grants/funding accounting and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP/finance systems and implementing process improvements.
