Assistant Manager, TACs and Business Networks

As an Assistant Manager in the TACs & Business Networks (TBN) team, you will play a key role in supporting capability development initiatives that strengthen the ecosystem of Trade Associations and Chambers (TACs). Beyond project coordination and governance, this role also acts as a connector between TAC transformation needs and the Singapore Business Institute (SBI)’s programme offerings. You will contribute to insight-driven industry engagement, financial governance, grant and procurement management, and executive-level support, ensuring the TAC initiatives translate into scalable workforce development solutions. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are meticulous, analytical, and eager to bridge operational excellence with strategic workforce impact


Job Responsibilitiess

1. Industry Engagement & Executive Support  

  • Engage proactively with TACs and external stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, surface ground-level insights, and contribute to shaping high-impact capability development initiatives.  
  • Support the preparation of strategic presentations, briefing materials, and event logistics for industry-facing engagements.  
  • Capture industry insights and translate them into inputs for SBI curriculum and programme development, ensuring alignment between TAC needs and training supply.  

2. Strategic & Operational Support  

  • Conduct research on industry trends, workforce transformation priorities, and policy developments relevant to TACs.  
  • Synthesise insights from internal reports and stakeholder feedback to inform TBN and SBI planning and decision-making.  
  • Collaborate across departments to build shared knowledge systems that link TAC capability needs, WSG/SSG/ESG support schemes, and SBI learning offerings.  
  • Support budgeting and forecasting exercises, including data consolidation, variance analysis, and return-on-investment tracking for TAC programmes.  

3. Programmes and Grant Operations Enablement  

  • Coordinate and track grant utilisation and reporting across multiple capability development programmes, ensuring consistency, transparency, and audit-readiness.  
  • Develop and maintain standardised processes for budgeting, claims, and reporting to support repeatability and reduce reliance on ad-hoc approaches.  
  • Contribute to the standardisation and scaling of programme delivery, identifying opportunities where TAC initiatives can be extended into SBI offerings for broader industry impact.  
  • Support internal capability building by streamlining documentation and knowledge sharing, enabling more efficient and insight-driven stakeholder engagement across WDD and SBI.  

4. Impact Tracking & Ecosystem Integration  

  • Develop dashboards and reports that track programme outcomes, linking TAC capability development to enterprise workforce transformation and SBI revenue/engagement metrics.  
  • Facilitate co-branding and partnership opportunities between TACs, SBI, IHLs, and professional bodies under a revenue-sharing or training-as-a-service model.  
  • Ensure SBF positions itself as an end-to-end workforce partner by aligning TAC transformation with SBI’s skills and learning agenda.
