Assistant Manager/Manager, Fair Tenancy Industry Committee Secretariat

This role will report to the Director of FTIC Secretariat to support the FTIC’s role as custodian of the Code of Conduct for Leasing of Retail Premises in Singapore (CoC) for fair and balanced lease negotiations between landlords and tenants of qualifying retail premises. The role will involve ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and providing secretariat support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveys and analyse trends to ensure that the CoC is updated with the latest market practices.
  • Research the latest developments in retail leasing practices and share the findings with FTIC members.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to rental tenancy, and provide recommendations for improving the FTIC’s services and offerings.
  • Collaborate with relevant trade associations and other stakeholders to conduct outreach activities and educate the industry about the CoC.
  • Manage the FTIC’s CRM system to ensure efficient and effective communication with stakeholders and timely resolution of inquiries and feedback.
  • Develop and maintain communication materials such as collaterals and the FTIC website content.
  • Willing and able to adapt to changing priorities and take on new responsibilities as required by FTIC and SBF.
  • Engage and provide secretariat support and other necessary tasks for the FTIC and its members.

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Prior working experience in leasing, retail, and property rental is a plus.
  • Sound understanding of the key concerns of the Singapore business community.
  • Strong analytical, consultation, planning, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Possess some research background and experience.
  • Proactive with the ability to drive and provide innovative solutions and recommendations.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work with various stakeholders to achieve desired results.
  • Flexible and agile, with the ability to multi-task and quickly adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
