Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Strategic Partnerships

As a Senior Manager/Assistant Director in the Strategic Partnerships team, you play a critical role in building and strengthening SBF’s ties with various counterparts and partners locally and internationally. You will help develop impactful partnership management strategies and carrying out the implementation of SBF’s strategic partnership development plan. You will also help to develop and execute sponsorship campaigns for key projects and initiatives under SBF.

These partnerships are to further SBF work across the six action agendas, namely Smart Enabled, Skills Empowered, Scaled Internationally, Sustainability-Centric, Socially Impactful, and Synergistic TACs; to strengthen the business collectively; and through that process bring about more B2B initiatives enabled by SBF. 

To succeed in this role, you should possess a diverse skillset encompassing strategic thinking, exceptional relationship-building skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of global business dynamics. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support/Work with the Director and the team to build the necessary systems, processes, and capabilities within SBF to manage the partners in a One SBF partnership account management approach.
  • Support/Work with the Director and the team to continuously cultivate, maintain, develop, and expand the network of existing and potential partners via various partnerships and collaboration models for key projects and initiatives under SBF; and manage its ecosystem of partners. This includes but not limited to:
    • Enhance bilateral and multilateral trade and economic cooperation through regional initiatives and national level business platforms with local and foreign partners and counterparts
    • Build, manage and enhance working relationships with existing local and foreign partners, particularly a group of dedicated business leaders who can support SBF's vision and mission.
    • Identify, recruit and develop new partners; serve as one of the primary business contacts in SBF for external partners.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth on-boarding and launch of new partnership initiatives.
  • Work together with the Director and the team to support CEO/Chief Strategic Partnership Officer’s engagement of key Government/Business leaders. This includes but not limited to:
    • Preparation of briefs/meeting materials pre-engagement
    • Administrative/staffing support during engagement
    • Preparation of notes of meetings post engagement
  • Support the team’s efforts to develop and execute sponsorship campaigns for key projects and initiatives under SBF
  • Handle any other ad-hoc responsibilities and duties assigned by the management

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant working experience is required. 
  • Detail oriented and highly organised
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken; including a proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, exemplary work ethic and a collaborative mindset towards teamwork
