Lead, Communications & Fundraising

This role combines expertise in corporate communications and fundraising to amplify our impact, engage diverse stakeholders, and ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities

Corporate Communications

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans to promote our mission, programmes, and events.
  • Create engaging content across multiple platforms, including press releases, social media, website, and annual reports.
  • Manage public relations and manage media and public enquiries.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality messaging.

Fundraising

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies and donor engagement events in collaboration with the Board.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships new donors, including corporate sponsors, and grant-making organisations.
  • Write compelling grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor communications.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date donor database and stewardship records.

Corporate Governance Responsibilities

  • Prepare board papers, presentations, and progress reports for Board and committee meetings

Requirements

  • A strong communicator and strategist with a passion for purpose-driven work.
  • Experienced and effective in corporate communications, fundraising, or a related role, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset.
