Job Responsibilities

Programme Management

  • Brainstorm, propose and manage new initiatives based on the needs and challenges faced by Singapore businesses.
  • Engage and manage relationships with partners
  • Monitor and report the outcomes of the initiatives to external and internal stakeholders.

SBF SME Committee (SMEC)

  • Oversee secretariat team of the SME Committee and workgroups, including the preparation of agenda, meeting materials and reports.
  • Lead the engagement of committee members to gather feedback on the needs and challenges faced by Singapore businesses, especially SMEs, in the areas such as business cost, and manpower challenges.
  • Develop and implement agenda items of workgroups, and support members in the delivery of key work items.
  • Coordinating cross-divisional budget team to collate inputs from the 6 Action Committees.
  • Draft and deliver the annual budget recommendations, working in close partnership with a knowledge partner and supporting the communications and marketing of the Budget recommendations including the pre and post engagement sessions.
  • Handle any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

You will also oversee the Fair Tenancy Industry Committee (FTIC) Secretariat, where your primary responsibilities will be as follows: 

  • Provide the interpretation of Code of Conduct (CoC) to the public and conduct outreach and educate the industry about the CoC through webinar and events.
  • Conduct surveys and trend analysis to ensure that the CoC is regularly updated with the latest market practices, guided by the principles of transparency, fairness, reciprocity, and sustainability.
  • Develop training materials together with the Council of Estate Agents, including providing sample tenancy agreements for smaller landlords/tenants.
  • Organise and provide corporate secretariate support i.e. reports and minutes writing to Fair Tenancy Pro-Term Committee to ensure smooth running of the committee.
  • Manage the budget of the FTIC and prepare annual reports on the use of the funds to the Committee. 

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years of working experience in leasing, corporate secretariat in the public and/or private sector
  • A good understanding of the key concerns of the Singapore business community, particularly those in the retail sector will be an advantage
    • A good understanding of our government’s policies, programmes and schemes for businesses, and Government regulations that impact businesses
  • Proactive and possess the drive and resourcefulness to come up with innovative solutions and recommendations
  • Strong advocacy skills and good oral and written English-language communications
  • Possess Qualitative, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express complex issues simply and logically
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to bring various parties together to achieve results
  • Results-oriented with multi-tasking capabilities
