Assistant Manager (Technical Services)

This role will assist with the management of IT daily operations, covering End User Computing, IT infrastructure, and Cloud-based systems (e.g. M365, Active Directory).

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot computer problems including installation, upgrading, deployment, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Assist in managing daily IT operational cases/requests and ensure that Service Level Agreement (SLA) with appointed service provider(s) is met.
  • Manage an inventory of all technology assets and periodic compilation of statistics and reports.
  • Work closely with the service providers (third-party vendors) to:
    1. Manage and maintain technological systems like laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, network equipment and other devices relating to Digital Workplace.
    2. Ensure the technological systems are patched up to date.
    3. Ensure required devices are interconnected with Azure file shares, VPN, emails, cloud applications and other server applications.
    4. Install, upgrade and manage software and hardware on company devices.
    5. Manage all software licenses and hardware maintenance contracts and ensure that renewals are done timely.
    6. Ensure that backups and synchronisations of all systems are performed timely.
  • Process supplier invoices and assist with IT procurement relating to Digital Workplace.
  • Assist in developing governance policies, best practices, and procedures (SOP) related to IT end users computing and infrastructure relating to Digital Workplace.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in IT or related field with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in this field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications e.g. MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint, Azure etc.
  • Proficient in end-user computing support.
  • Understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), servers, networks, cloud technology etc.
  • Good working knowledge and experience in the following areas:
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Windows Server administration
  • Able to work in collaborative and dynamic work environment.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently under minimum supervision.

This is a 2-year contract position
